COSTA BRAVA BEACHES

Between Lloret de Mar and the Bay of Roses you will find some of the most enchanting beaches and coves on the Costa Brava Lloret de Mar's busiest but most centrally located beach is Playa Lloret. Alongside this urbanized beach there's a beautiful seafront promenade hosting a large number of restaurants, bars and cafes. It is over 1,5km long made up of fine golden sand and crystal clean water, awarded with blue flag for cleanness.

Playa Fenals is a 700m small cove located 1km from Lloret de Mar and just a few minutes away from our holiday home in Calonge. More quieter than the central beaches, Playa Fenals is a nice place for sunbathe. The beach is made up of fine golden sand with a range of facilities including sun beds, umbrellas, water sports, life guards and regular police patrol. Playa Fenals can be easily reached from our holiday homes in Sant Pol de Mar.

Playa Boadella is a small beach in a quiet area 2.5 km west from Lloret. This 250m stretch of sand has a beautiful natural setting and is one of the few uncrowded places in the area. It is made up of rough yellow sand with a designated naturist area at one end.

Playa d’Aro is one of the largest holiday resorts in the Costa Brava. With several secluded coves dotted around this beach you can have as much privacy as you want. The main beach of soft golden sand stretches on for 2km. Away from the beaches, you'll find cinemas, playgrounds and an Aqua Park, as well as a shopping center with everything from fashion to souvenirs. Cala Estreta is set in a magical scenery. With shallow waters, the white sandy beach is closed off by a pine forest. If time permits you should visit this beach during the week to avoid the weekend crowds.

Llafranc town beach gets inevitably crowded at high season, but is still hugely inviting and good for a swim. Llafranc has one long curved beach surrounded by the pine covered hills. The beach gently slopes into the sea which is ideal for children's bathing. Behind the beach an attractive promenade full of cafes and restaurants await the thirsty and hungry tourists.

Tamariu beach is set against steep cliffs and pine covered mountains with some of the most pristine waters in the Mediterranean. The waters around this area are believed to be the purest. The uncrowded golden sands are the perfect alternative to some of the concrete jungles found elsewhere on the Costa. If sun tanning on the beach is not your cup of tea then there are plenty of activities to keep you busy including windsurfing, golf and shopping at the Palafrugell Market. During the main summer season, you can rent various sailing boats, pedals and canoes.

Playa de Pals is a fine, sandy beach that lies at the southern tip of the long, curved Golf of Roses, creating an almost unbroken stretch of flat beach. It is ideal for sun bathing, swimming and wind surfing and safe for children. This beach is absolutely huge spreading out for kilometers. Stay close to this gorgeous beach and book our holiday home in Pals. The occasional dunes add a natural balance to the unbroken line of pale sand.
The beach is a conservation area so the only thing to break the peace under the sun, is the creak of pedals and the splash of snorkelers.
